Okuma's Cedros Coastal inshore rods are a perfect fit whether you're casting from the deck of an inshore boat or tossing artificial while stalking the beach. We started with a lightweight, sensitive yet strong graphite composite 1 piece rod blank. Next, we added ALPS stainless steel double footed guide frames along with ALPS Zirconium oxide inserts. These guides are built to handle the tough strains put on by the combination of braided line and rugged inshore gamefish. We incorporated a sleek looking custom ALPS aluminum reel seat complete with matching blue anodizing. Other features include a sturdy Pac Bay rubber butt cap, stainless steel hook keepers and Okuma's lifetime warranty. Cedros Coastal rods-going Coastal never felt so good....
With so many on offer these days, it is great to have a name you can trust. This item is certainly that and will be a perfect buy. The distributor have added some great touches and this equals great value.

Amazon does not properly package rods for shipping
I would love to give a review of this rod (it appears to be great), but Amazon placed it loosely in a simple light cardboard box for shipping. Upon arrival the box was clearly bent and the rod was in three pieces (despite being a one-piece rod).
It is doubtful that I will order fishing rods in the future from Amazon. They clearly have no idea what the product is and what reasonable packaging would be for such an item. Yes, the return process is great, but I have to wonder how much extra I am paying in order to subsidize other returns due to shoddy packaging.
