great product
I ordered this because i already own two but my rod selection has grown so had to buy more racks. The only difference from my old racks is,BERKLEY has improved the foam insert that holds the rods (softer but still firm enough to hold even the lightest rods)

Great idea, poor execution
I liked the idea of putting my fishing poles up and away in my garage. In theory, this should work great. However, the product has several flaws.
1) The foam doesn't stay in well, when you pull the pole out, the foam tries to come out, when you push the pole in, it squishes the foam back so you have to hold the foam in place to get it in there. I think prior models had a better foam from what i read, but I don't know for sure. This one is too hard and not glued down.
2) The spacing is too close. Unless you want to take the reel off every time, most poles with reels attached are too wide to comfortably fit in side by side. I'm not talking about large salt water poles, just medium poles with open face spinner reels. In general, I can't see any reel fitting in there. It has six slots, but with reels, it could only fit four of my poles. Without reels, you'll have no problem.
3) This thing is designed to hang your poles up horizontally, as opposed to...
